Our
appearance last July at Music Folk
|
Prairie
Soul is hard at work on the new demo, which should be available
for distribution in mid-January. The five-song disc will showcase
all three lead vocalists and will feature our characteristic
mix of styles. As soon as the tracks are to our liking (and
we promise to keep our perfectionism in check!), we'll post
samples on the website. Be sure and drop us a line in advance
if you'd like a copy!
With
demo in hand, we'll be taking Prairie Soul's eclectic acoustic
sound to a host of new venues in 2009. If you're interested
in booking us for a private party, festival or other event,
now's the time to get in touch; we're already looking as far
as next summer's busy outdoor concert season, and the calendar
will be full before we know it!
Speaking
of next year's dates...We recently accepted an invitation
to perform for Chesterfield Arts' Fridays Uncorked live music
series, on May 1. Save the date and join us to support the
arts in West County! Price of admission includes dessert and
a complimentary beverage.
And
in the not-so-distant future, don't miss our return engagement
on Sunday, March 8 as part of Music Folk's Concert Series.
We'll split the bill with Caravelle, Ben's original project,
and lots of exciting new tunes-covers as well as originals-are
on the agenda.
For
now, it's back to tracking, mixing, mastering, etc. ...
