Look
for lots of outdoors gigs again in 2009 like this one
at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market.
|
2009
has arrived, and with it, plenty of great opportunities to
enjoy Prairie Soul's unique blend of American acoustic music.
The
new demo is nearing completion! Most of the tracks have
been recorded, and we're well into the mixing/mastering stages
with a few songs. The demo will feature five cuts, which won't
necessarily appear in the following order:
|
Cowboy
Man (Lyle Lovett)
|
|
Every
Time You Say Goodbye (Alison Krauss & Union
Station)
|
|
Yankee
Lady (Brewer & Shipley)
|
|
Wayfaring Stranger (Traditional)
|
|
Highway
40 Blues (Ricky Skaggs)
|
Don't
forget to contact us to request a demo in advance, and keep
watching PrairieSoul.net for song samples!
We're
also happy to announce that we've confirmed two summer
gigs at Kirkwood Farmers' Market-one of our all-time favorite
venues-on June 6 and September 19, 2009. KFM's bountiful harvest
of baked goods, locally grown produce and more simply must
be seen to be believed, and there's no better way to enjoy
a summer morning than soaking up the sunshine in the picturesque
heart of Kirkwood. We'll see you there!
But
you don't have to wait til winter's done to catch Prairie
Soul live. We're looking forward to playing for old friends
and new fans at our March 8 gig at Music Folk, where
we'll play PS favorites, spotlight some original tunes by
Rich and Linda and split the bill with Caravelle. The
show, part of Music Folk's regular Sunday Night Concert Series,
promises an incredible variety of acoustic sounds, and it's
sure to be a fun-filled evening you won't soon forget!
Happy
New Year, and enjoy the music!
