10 , 2009: Demo? Done! |
|
At
long last, the Prairie Soul demo is complete! After
weeks of hard work handling everything from tracking to mastering,
we've produced what we feel is a great-sounding CD that captures
the Prairie Soul sound. Short of attending one of our live
performances-and we'll get to those in a bit-there's no better
way to hear what we have to offer than by popping this fun,
engaging and diverse mix of songs into your CD player and
giving us a listen. So whether you're interested in booking
us for a playing engagement or you're just plain curious,
contact us today
for your copy.
And
if you haven't noticed, you can hear the new demo in the jukebox
in the lower left hand corner of this page! Enjoy! Please
let us know what you
think! We expect to add more tracks as we get to the slower
fall and winter months, so keep watch.
Of
course, for the full experience, you'll want to catch us
live! To see Prairie Soul at our most musically ambitious,
join us at Music
Folk on Sunday, March 8 for an evening of PS standards,
original material and instrumental numbers. And come springtime,
we'll be back on the outdoor festival circuit: On Saturday,
May 9 at noon, Prairie Soul will perform at the Laumeier
Art Fair in St. Louis, where you can view original
works by 150 artists from across the country. You don't
want to miss the combination of Prairie Soul's easygoing,
distinctly American sounds and Laumeier Sculpture Park's captivating
open-air museum. And don't forget about our June 6 and September
19 gigs at Kirkwood
Farmer's Market, where you can always buy local and enjoy
homegrown acoustic music, too. Lastly, we've just added
two dates at Piasa Winery
in Grafton, IL too. Come join us for some great tunes and
a lovely view of the Mississippi River.
Whatever
your plans for the months ahead, we hope Prairie Soul is a
part of them! Be sure to check the site regularly as we continue
to add spring and summer gigs. We're looking forward to a
fun and very busy year!
